Teamwork is the Ultimate Advantage

The World Cup is here. Early battles between some of the giants and underdogs have reminded us again that effective team work is the ultimate competitive advantage.It's said that great coaches put team chemistry ahead of technique becuase players will be living together 24 hours each day for a month.

The situation is not different from the networks of teams we run in the office everyday. Take this opportunity to assess your teams and strengthen the key dimensions of your team's effectiveness. Whatever metrics you may use to assess your team's effectiveness remember there are task metrics and maintainance metrics.

Building an effective team requires significant investment of time, effort, emotion, empathy, and all that is human since all team members are human.
